This Is What Celebrating Others Is All About…..

On Friday, December 1st, the BOSS Loft celebrated it’s one year anniversary. Although we are grateful to have had a great first year, we wanted to show our gratitude by nurturing, celebrating, and supporting other black women entrepreneurs as well. Needless-to-say, our one year anniversary celebration was amazing according to all of our guests.

Here’s a quick recap of how it all went down:

We nurtured The "Whole" Entrepreneur with Expert Guest, Tiffany Civers owner of It's Never Too Late Counseling

Tiffany shared the importance of self care. She stated, “If you don’t already have one, create a self care regimen and commit to it even when life is lifing because that's when you need it the most”.

Self care is doing the things that raises your happy hormones and/or brings you peace.

Tiffany's self care regimen is exercising, journaling, and rewarding herself with her favorite sweet treat.

I also got to share my personal self care regimen, which is starting my morning out with praying with my husband before he leaves out for the day, reading my bible, watching a motivational video, exercising, eating whole foods, then setting my goals for the day.  I also make sure to do these same things with my children before they start their day as well. Committing to this even when life is lifing has really help me to be genuinely happy in all areas of my life, especially the areas that matters to me the most.

What self care regimen are you going to commit to so that you can be genuinely happy in all areas of your life?

During the Roses & Rosé Celebration Tribute, we honored four black women entrepreneurs for daring to dream out loud in spite of all the challenges they face on their entrepreneurial journey.

One of the honorees, Towanda McEachern, owner of Empowerment Studio NJ, shared something N.I.C.E (Nurturing Insights Cultivating Excellence) with our BOSS Ladies. She emphasized the importance of learning how to use F.I.S.H on our entrepreneurial journey. F.I.S.H stands for Faith, Integrity, Strength, and Hope. She expressed that having these essential elements will help us succeed and be all right on your entrepreneurial journey, even during the toughest times. And I certainly would agree, because I know I couldn't have made it as entrepreneur for amost 3 decades without using F.I.S.H

We then all participated in some networking activities that allowed us to build genuine connections and a furture support system with at least four other women entreprenuers in the room.

We also supported local black women entreprenuers by shopping from our vendors; Sun Connect Foods and Services, Butterfly Naturals, Tasteful Trinkets, Beautiful Beats By Kim, & Nesha's Sweet Treats. You can check them out on our Black Women Entrepreneur Directory and support them by purchasing their product or service, following them social media, or sharing their info with someone who may need it.

And lastly, we celebrated by dancing the night away.  We did the BLOSSOM & THRIVE Celebration Dance to the song Celebrate by Jordan Sparks & Whitney Houston two of my favorite artists.

It most certainly was a night to remember! But guess what, it won't be the last.  We will be hosting Blossom & Thrive BOSS Mixers every first Friday of each month starting on January 5th 2024.

Next month is going to be nothing short of amazing as well. So if you missed the BOSS Loft One Year Anniversary Celebration, trust me when I say this; you definitely want to grab your ticket for this one before they are all gone! You can also check out our line up of incredible black women entrepreneurs that will be joining us.

We are still looking for (4) more women of color businesses to support so if you or someone you know would like to be a vendor, fill out the vendors form here.

Do you know a black woman entrepreneur who should be celebrated with the Roses & Rosé Celebration Tribute? Are you interested in nurturing other black women entrepreneurs as an expert guest speaker? If so, complete the form here and let us know all about it!

Looking forward to nurturing, celebrating,  and supporting you!
