Meet Simeko

Born and raised in the community of Harlem, NY, Simeko’s entrepreneurial journey was paved by the inspiration of her paternal grandmother who owned several businesses by the time she was a teenager. As a young girl, she knew she wanted to own her own business; it was in her blood. Her journey began in 1994 when she was hired as a manager, creative director, and consultant for one of the top Natural Hair Care Salons in the country. This afforded her the privilege to have her work grace numerous magazines, television shows, and high profile celebrities. As her journey continued, she would earn her cosmetology license in both New Jersey & New York. And, in 2010 her “baby” was born; Meko, New York LLC , which has acquired a client base of over 1500 professional women from across the globe in less than 5 years. 

As a Natural Hair Care Professional for the International Product Brand, Jane Carter Solution, her work has been featured worldwide on various media platforms including Walmart Ad campaigns, News12, Essence Magazine, and Sophistic Black Hair Magazine to name a few. She has also traveled across the country, consulting, educating, and teaching hair care & styling techniques at various Hair Shows, Expos & Beauty Summits. In addition, she provides professional natural hair care consultations, workshops, presentations, and training for salon owners, aspiring stylists, organizations, professional women, schools/colleges, noted natural hair influencers. 

As a Thought Leader, Master Trainer, Business Coach, and Consultant for major nonprofit organizations, she has had the honor of supporting and helping hundreds of other entrepreneurs, across the country, start and grow their businesses.
