Here’s To New Beginnings…..

Would you believe me if I told you that around this time 14 years ago, I made a choice that puzzled many of my family and friends? I took a leap of faith, saying goodbye to the comfort of my corporate job to start my entrepreneurial journey. My destination? A dream to create something tangible, impactful—a natural haircare salon business.

At the time, natural hair wasn’t trending and so many women struggled with the idea of wearing their natural hair, especially in the corporate world. So need-less-to-say, the inception of this dream wasn’t met with applause or encouragement. Instead, it was greeted with raised eyebrows and murmurs of doubt. People labeled me as crazy, foolish even, for leaving the security of a stable job, in finance, to venture into the unknown depths of starting a natural haircare business. Yet, within me burned a passion—an unwavering determination to take a leap of faith and turn this dream into reality.

With no money to open a brick and mortar, I started my salon business in the basement of my house. It wasn’t ideal, but it was a canvas—a place to begin.

Fear could have prevented me from taking the leap, but I refused to let it stop me. I dared to dream out loud, turning a deaf ear to the naysayers, and instead, I chose to start where I was with what I had and learn along the way. Each day became an opportunity for growth, a chance to evolve and refine my vision.

I surrounded myself with individuals who believed in the power of dreams, who understood the audacity it takes to chase them. Their unwavering support became the pillars that held me steadfast during moments of uncertainty.

Fast forward to the present day—2023—and here I stand, a testament to resilience and determination. The journey hasn’t been without its twists and turns, but every challenge was a lesson, every setback a stepping stone toward growth.

Now, as I stand at the brink of rebranding and embarking on a new chapter, I reflect on my entrepreneurial journey. It's not just about a business; it’s about the courage to start, the perseverance to endure, and the willingness to evolve.

The decision to start anew embodies the spirit of continuous growth and improvement. It's about taking the lessons learned, the support received, and infusing them into a vision that’s even more compelling and impactful.

The road ahead might be unfamiliar, but the passion to create, to innovate, and to make a difference burns brighter than ever. This rebranding isn’t just a transformation—it’s a rebirth, a testament to the power of daring to dream, taking risks, and embracing the journey, bumps and all.
